AcroYoga – Reverse Star
I love working with Amanda. She is one of those people that geeks out over AcroYoga with me. She loves the details all the way down to safe and effective spotting. This is AcroYoga High Flying Whale to Reverse Star. It is a fun way to get into this pose. The trick is to get the flyers hips over shoulders. This requires a deep squat on behalf of the base. In this case Amanda pulled herself slightly and that gave her just enough leverage to put herself into position. Immediately when the hips were over shoulders she lifts her legs up to stop the momentum and presses down instead of pulling to maintain over the hips.
