Seated Forward Fold

#RestoreNRenew Day 4 is Forward Fold The alignment of forward fold is most often taught with a long flat back. It is taught this way to keep the back safe and place the stretch in the hamstrings. In restorative yoga the quality of the pose is just as important or even more important than what is being stretched. Forward folds help the participant to turn inward and rounding of the upper back helps with this action. To keep it safe this pose is not done as deep as it would be done with a flat back. See @ladiboomyogini for more details on this pose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To participate and be eligible for a prize: 1.
